First I must say "Merry (very late) Christmas" and "Happy (not as late) New Years". I wish the best for everyone in 2008!
Happenings.... Hummmm....
My Grandpa Henry Townsend III passed away at the end of November. He lived to be 91 and simply died of old age. I think it is possibly the best way to go. This brought some unexpected family to town for Thanksgiving. It was great to see them all, but sad to see my Grandpa go.

Fall semester ended December 10th, and my roommate Greta graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Anthropology. Congrats Greta!!at one of the last 'Club Dinners' that I have documented.

I went to Steamboat for a few days with some friends for some skiing in the fresh pow pow. We were all lucky enough to have comp tickets and a friends' house to crash at, making our few days of skiing almost 'kosten los'.

Theresa flew home from Germany for the Holidays, and Tara drove home with one of her new roommates (although he crashed at a friends house near the slopes to go skiing everyday). It was great just being 5 peas in a pod at the newly remodeled Rumery house (if I had pictures, which I thought I did, I would post them, I guess that will be for the next blog). We went skiing, sledding, and shared some great laughs all being together.
Sledding is a big event in my family. Our driveway has to be simply icy, the temps must be low, and the sled must be working. All three of us pile onto one sled and we make our way down the 'Rumery Luge', crashing into a snow pile at the bottom if we haven't already crashed along the way. We are simply 5 crazy people!
New Years Eve was exciting. Some good friends from high school and I made our way to Aspen for a party. Originally we wanted to go to the bars, but there was about a $50.00 cover to get into the bars and if there wasn't a high cover then there was a minimum drink buy per person. A bit out of a college student's budget.
Bridget and MollyLastly my Aunt Sherry turned 80 years old (this is my dad's oldest sister, and yes, my family is VERY spread out). So all 5 Colorado Rumerys and all 4 Oregon Rumerys met up in Seattle, Washington for a small family reunion with my dad's side of the family.

My last semester at CSU starts on Tuesday... and what's next is the BIG question that is pondering my mind day and night.
