Karnival, Fasching, Fastnach...

Creativity to it's finest. Blue and Pink hair for the next top modals. Dancing to the top of the world.

Getting out and celebrating one of the biggest holidays in Germany, Theresa and I went to the capital for the festivities of Karnival, Fasching, and Fastnach... Köln and Dü
sseldorf.

Theresa and I were greeted in Essen (which is near Köln and Düsseldorf), Germany by our cousin Sarah for a big night of celebrating Karnival, Fasching, and Fastnach.

History of Karnival, Fasching, and Fastnoch... Party it up, live life to it's fullest and have fun before Lent starts.

Reversing the Role

Theresa was the 'new and improved' Sydney Bristow

Sarah was a 'Flavett'

I was named 'Forest Ferry Nymph Thing'

It was one big street party!

I could start a business being your own personal tour guide and maybe even a translator (only for German though)... It's a good thought!

Schools outs (for 2 months)!!! Traveling the world and hanging out with friends has begun.

I spent the last week in Frankfurt hanging out with 'Theresa and Friends' (actually I mean hanging out with friends and seeing Theresa if our paths happened to cross is the late nights or early mornings.)

Relatives and friends of a friend (I know one of those long stories) were in town, and while everyone else had to work, I was set out as the tour guide for the visiting guests, giving them a chance to see the 'wonderful' city of Frankfurt, and some small, cute, and quant towns that were near by.

Verbier Switzerland

Verbier, Switzerland, the home of the steepest ski run (Mont Fort), the longest mogul run in the Alps, and the biggest 'chair lift' (not a chair lift by any means, more a human moving machine called 'Le Jumbo')

Theresa and I thought it was time for some more 'rock hoping' and 'sand surfing', but this time is the Swiss Alps. A 7 hour bus ride with the Frankfurt International Ski Club for 2 days of skiing on the 'nonexistent snow' in Verbier, Switzerland.

The weather wasn't the best (minimal amounts of sun, lots and lots of wind (even causing the lift to close for 30 minutes with 5 from our group sitting on it) and very, very flat light for skiing) but the company was great (9 total in our group).

This is to just show how little snow there is in the Alps this year... We (Theresa and I) are on the gondola going down the mountain... NO SNOW (the sad part is we just past the half way point where there is normally feet and feet of snow.) Sad story for the Alps this year!
