Live to Run
Run to Live

Colorado Outward Bound Relay 2007
3 Mountain Passes, 24 Hours, 170 Miles

It was time to turn crazy, and run 17.4 miles of the 170 Colorado Outward Bound Relay. My roommate and friend Greta and I were on a team of 10 people, with 2 drivers and 2 volunteers that went over 3 mountain passes from Idaho Springs, CO to Glenwood Springs, CO (my home town). Everyone was required to run 3 different stretches of the relay, my total mileage amounted up to 17.4 miles. My first run was at about 10:30 in the morning, the next one was around 6:30pm and my last one was at 2:30 am. My team, Mountain Madness finished 18th over all and completed it in about 23 hours and 45 min.

After 5 pm it was required to run with a head lamp and a reflector vest. FUN!

Beyond this point we were either to tired to take more picts,
and/or it was to dark to take more picts.

The race finished in sunny Glenwood Springs, where Greta and I were able to go back to my house eat some hearty food and sleep the day away. So glad that we didn't have to cram back into the Ford Excursion and make our way back to Idaho Springs.
